Our season traditionally runs from September to June, and our second show before the summer break is our much-anticipated “Summer Show.
Depending on the line-up, we always like to come up with a quirky and creative name for the event. Each year’s show can include anything from mini musicals and plays (sometimes with music), to monologues, sketches, solo or group songs, and even dance performances.
Musical theatre has always been one of our favourite forms of performance. It’s vibrant, emotional, and endlessly entertaining. One of the unique things we love to do is take a well-known, full-length musical and creatively condense it into a 45-minute version.
The challenge, of course, lies in preserving the heart of the story while keeping the plot clear, logical, and engaging for the audience. This process pushes us to be inventive, trimming the show down without losing its essence, pacing, or emotional impact.
It’s a rewarding challenge that makes the production process exciting for us and the final performance all the more enjoyable and accessible for our audience. Each shortened version becomes a fresh, fast-paced celebration of the musical’s best moments, packed with energy, storytelling, and the joy that makes musical theatre so special.
Acting and singing are at the heart of what our group is all about. We aim to give everyone a chance to shine and do what they love most on stage.
As a group, we decide together what we perform, voting fairly and moving forward with mutual support and respect. Every voice matters, and every decision is made as a team.
In addition to musicals, we also create and perform a variety of other shows — including plays, ensemble pieces, and individual singing sessions. These, too, are chosen collectively, ensuring that everyone has the chance to explore and express their talents in the ways they enjoy most.
While we may not all be professionals, we bring passion, dedication, and heart to everything we do. Every rehearsal, every performance, and every song is filled with energy and enthusiasm.
